Testimonials
“3D Digital imagery is going the same way as digital audio. In the
future, some models will be synthesized with geometry, and others
will be "sampled" using 3D imaging technology. Inspeck 3D, with
their consistent track record in innovation, is destined to be one of
the leaders in sampling the physical world, especially humans.”
-Bill Buxton,
Alias|Wavefront’s Chief Scientist
"InSpeck's development of the Full Body Model Retargeting tool
is an important breakthrough for the animation industry. This
application provides an opportunity for our users to quickly and
efficiently animate 3D digitized data. Combining the power
and versatility of the FBX format and the innovative approach of
the Full Body Model Retargeting offers a unique and flexible
pipeline to our industry."
- Kaydara's President, Michel Besner
"The 3d scanning team behind these blockbusters is glad to have
InSpeck join our data-acquisition arsenal. More and more productions
are calling for fast, mobile service around the world. By using InSpeck's
powerful but compact body scanner we can be anywhere in the world with
two days notice. The InSpeck system has already proven in Australia to be
a powerful addition to our team."
-Gentle Giant Studios' President, Karl Meyer
"The musculoskeletal deformity research team from Montreal's
Ste-Justine Children's Hospital has recently acquired an InSpeck Full
Body digitizing system. The preliminary clinical studies that were
conducted demonstrated conclusively that using the Full Body halogen
light system rather than X-Rays on adolescent scoliosis patients
was more beneficial to their health. The scoliosis patient-studies can
now be conducted without having to expose the children to X-Rays
every six months. This non-invasive system will have a definite
impact on the patient's health and quality of life. Furthermore, this
new technology has opened up a whole new research direction by
studying skeletal-structure deformities from the 3D geometry outside
of the human body. Finally, I would like to add that the partnership
between InSpeck and Ste-Justine Hospital's research team will pave
the way to a more widespread use of the Full Body system by other
hospitals all over the world."
-Dr. Farida Cheriet is Professor at the Computer
Engineering Department of l'École Polytechnique de
Montréal.
"We think the BFD is a practical medical solution and can be adopted
by any plastic surgeon as an essential part of their clinics. We are
looking forward to this system available on the market."
-Dr. Yu Hang, Plastic surgeon at the Jing-An ConBio
Cosmetic & Laser Surgery Center.
"The Major League Baseball Players Association selected InSpeck
to provide 3D digital imagery of the players because we felt that
InSpeck's state of the art technology and outstanding customer
service ould provide our licensees with a user friendly platform from
which to push the graphical edge of the next generation video game
hardware. InSpeck's technology will help make baseball video games
the standard by which player graphics will be measured throughout
the lifecycle of today's game systems. Thanks to InSpeck's technology
and ability to work with our licensees, it will no longer be acceptable for
video games featuring real-life athletes to deliver just a handful of
recognizable images supported by a cast of generic, cookie-cutter
players. People who see the upcoming generation of baseball games
from Sega, EA, Sony and Acclaim will expect every player in a sports
game to be a real-time, life-like, movie quality, 3D rendering of their
real life counterpart."
- John Olshan, Category Director, Interactive
Games at the Major League Baseball Players Association.
"InSpeck's 3D head scans helped bring our title, All-Star Baseball
2003, to the next level. The high degree of realism in each player's
3D head model helped make our game the best selling title in its
category for 2002. We are looking forward to using InSpeck's 3D
data in All-Star Baseball 2004."
-Malcom Cummack, Director of the Production Dept.
Acclaim Entertainment.
"The Footshape's technology is something that we looked for since
the early 90's. In the blink of an eye, our foot specialists can now
capture the patient's foot shape information without the occurrence
of variable consequences due to traditional casting methods.
Then, the imagery data is forwarded directly to our lab via the
Internet so that we can apply the prescribed corrections digitally
and quickly manufacture the orthotic. This revolutionary new process
eliminates many tedious manipulations, replaces traditional cast
impressions and shortens our production cycle. Since our customers
don't have to ship physical imprints anymore, the Footshape becomes
an everyday must for saving time and money."
